Students completed their Cecchetti exams in June at the Alberta Ballet in Calgary.
Examinations help a student develop better technical discipline, a positive attitude, and supports good competitive values along with enhancing stronger performance abilities. Examinations present an opportunity for students to be critiqued and evaluated by professional dance examiners. As well they encourage each and every student to work harder, in order to develop their own personal potential and help them maintain that potential throughout their dance training years. Students will enjoy a better sense of dance by participating in exams. Examinations are certified and successful candidates receive certificates.
All competitive students are expected to take certified jazz, tap and ballet exams upon teacher approval. It is mandatory for all students doing a solo in competition to take exams. Your teacher determines readiness for an examination.
