Competiton Results
Competitions and Workshops are a pivotal part of a dancer’s development. The experience gained from participation is invaluable. Students increase their versatility and growth as young professionals. Starxast hosts annual In-House Workshops featuring Special Guest Teachers from all over Canada, Los Angeles, Toronto, New York, etc. Starcast also provides the opportunities to attend Provincial & Out-of-Province Competitions and Workshops.
Dancing in Disneyland April 2008
Starcast Dance is home of the 2008 Disneyland Dancers! Starcast students performed in Disneyland in April2008 on a large outdoor stage and in the famed Disneyland Main Street USA parade along with 300 plus dancers from all over the world. We will be meeting with our Competitive Dance parents in September to find out what exciting adventure we will be going to next ...dancing on a cruiseship? Disneyworld? New York? Stay tuned ...

In April of 2008 the Starcast Dancers from the ages of 7 to 18 years old performed in Disneyland. The Starcast Jnr and Int dancers performed on the outdoor stage in California Adventure Land Park and performed in the Disney Parade down Disneyland's famed Main Street. The temperature was 35º and the girls performed without missing a beat! The dancers performed with 200 dancers from all over the world. We especially enjoyed meeting the studio that travelled from Australia. It was an amazing experience and not one parent had a dry eye when their children marched by with their high energy dance routine in the big parade. What an amazing life time experience for these girls!

What a fantastic year of Competition that we had at Starcast. Our Competitive Students went to four major competitions and we shone! The highlight of the year had to be at Shy-Ann (Saturday groups), almost every group that performed took the “Most Outstanding” Award (highest mark in the category), the day was long but filled with a lot of hype and excitement! It is hard to decide which was more exciting, our Diamond Award winning Charlie Number who made the dance-offs at Can-Dance, or our Outstanding Showing at Dance Power, or the numerous awards and scholarships that we received at Shy-Ann Dance Festival in Edmonton.
